Liebe Australier: ihr mögt Fahrräder push-bike nennen, um sie von motor bikes zu unterscheiden, aber hier seht ihr, warum mir das zuwider ist: im Deutschen, wie auch in Singapur, heißt to push a bike nämlich "sein Fahrrad schieben".
Dear Australians: you may call bicycles push-bike in order to distinguish them from motor bikes, but here so see why I detest that word: in Germany, as well as in Singapore, to push a bike means walking the bike (that's what you'd say, isn't it?).
