Danger of avalanches
Because of the extraordinary amount of snow one was in danger of being buried by masses of snow that suddenly dispatch from a house's roof. In several places (like here in the Heinrichstraße) footpaths were closed to direct pedestrians to the saver other side of the street, or to the street itself. Several “roof avalanches” descended with a loud rumble right in front of my door while I sat in my room.
