St. John's Cemetery in Parramatta (was man von Circular Quay mit schnellen RiverCat Fähren erreichen kann) ist Australiens ältester (nicht-aboriginal) Friedhof (1790). Hier findet man die Gräber der Eltern von John Batman (Gründer von Melbourne), Augustus Theodore Henry Alt (angeblich erster deutscher Einwanderer in Australien) und viele aus der "ersten Flotte".

St. John's Cemetery in Parramatta (which can be reached by fast RiverCat ferry from Circular Quay) is Australia's oldest (Non-Aboriginal) cemetary (1790). Here one finds the graves of John Batman's parent (he's the founder of Melbourne), of Augustus Theodore Henry Alt (allegedly the first immigrant of German origin) and of many convicts from the "First Fleet".
